Bath time for children is important in several areas: hygiene, bonding and an opportunity to play but most of all the child should feel safe and relaxed. Child safety is important for all children during bath time.

Sometimes children with special needs have poor sitting balance or poor trunk support. The bathSTAR bath lifter allows for full trunk support and comes complete with a full crotch padded harness and chest restraints. The ability to slip and slide in the water is removed while the child is comfortably bathing in the bathSTAR fabric sling allowing caregivers to wash and play using both hands.

Parents or caregivers with back pain who suffer when bending down to place a child into the bath tub also benefit from the easier bathing and reduced lifting.

For toddlers to children weighing up to 45kg (100lb) with poor sitting balance or who require additional trunk support while in the tub the bathSTAR is ideal.
